A new supermarket in Witham is set to bring in 40 new jobs to the local area.
Braintree Council have accepted supermarket giant Lidl’s proposal to buy the old Bramston Leisure Centre site in Bridge Street, Witham, but the site has not yet been purchased.
Lidl are looking to submit their planning application by mid-September, which will then be reviewed by the council.
If given the green light, the store will bring 40 jobs to the town.
