All applications for the Essex Business Excellence Awards have now been handed to the category sponsors, who have the unenviable task of judging them and choosing a final three and a winner.
One of such sponsors is Wortley Byers Law, which, as a long-established law firm based in Brentwood, has an outstanding reputation for first-rate service with a client base ranging from national, publicly-quoted companies to family-run businesses.
And this year the firm is significantly impacting the awards with its sponsorship.
As well as supporting the awards as the Headline Sponsor, Wortley Byers Law is also placing its backing behind the biggest honour of the night – the Company of the Year category.
The Company of the Year award is highly regarded as the blue ribbon accolade of the awards, celebrating a company in any industry which has demonstrated a strong market share, economic turnaround and an innovative approach.
The Essex Business Excellence Awards 2017
Speaking about the decision to sponsor this particular category Jane Winfield, commercial property partner and head of business development at Wortley Byers Law, said: “Wortley Byers Law prides itself on providing a commercially focused legal service delivery and, as one of the leading providers of legal services in Essex and the South East, it seems only right that Wortley Byers Law should be the judge of the Essex Business Excellence Awards Company of the Year 2017 category.”
Jane continued: “We are delighted to be the sponsor of the Company of the Year 2017 award as part of the Essex Business Excellence Awards.
“The finalists and winners across each of the categories will have shown huge business potential and achievement to have gained that status.
“The finalists and winner of the Company of the Year category will demonstrate that something ‘extra’ which makes them stand out from the other successful businesses to make it to the final of the Company of the Year 2017.”
Wortley Byers Law offers a full range of legal services and specialist advice in commercial property, corporate and commercial, employment and litigation law as well as the traditional areas of family, personal tax, trusts and probate and residential conveyancing.
As a key player in Essex’s business community and having made the region the company’s home since 1967, Jane was quick to the praise of Essex and how the business community helps raise the profile of the region and wider UK.
She said: “Wortley Byers Law is based in Brentwood Essex and has a solid reputation in the business community throughout the borough, Essex, London and the South East in particular.
“At Wortley Byers Law we work closely with our fellow business professionals and clients in providing a first class standard of legal service delivery. Essex is known for its entrepreneurial spirit and the Essex business community is strident in raising awareness of the thriving nature and potential for doing business in Essex, London and the South East in particular.
“Flagship events within Essex are instrumental in raising awareness of the Essex business community and its potential for enterprise.
“These include county events such as the Essex Business Excellence Awards and Discovering Business Essex as well as local forums such as the Brentwood Business Showcase and Chelmsford Showcase.
“INVEST Essex, of which Wortley Byers Law is a business partner, is another example of a channel through which the profile of Essex is raised amongst businesses who are looking to relocate and/or expand from other boroughs and overseas.”
The Essex Business Excellence Awards night is set to take place on Wednesday, November 29 at The City Pavilion in Romford.
A truly unmissable event, at which there are still tables available to book.
